Houston Chapter BMW CCA Concours Rules

General Information:

The most important factor in this event is the degree of cleanliness and the condition of your BMW when compared to other BMWs entered in the same class. A team of judges will evaluate each class. Within each team, the judges will be assigned a specific area (e.g., exterior, interior, storage compartment, etc..) to examine, thus assuring consistency in assessing point values.

Those with older or high-mileage BMWs will not be at a disadvantage because bonus points for age and mileage will be awarded. However, a cap is placed on the number of bonus points awarded for age and mileage to preclude an unfair advantage being given to a totally restored or vintage BMW.

Score sheets listing the point values for items within each judging area will be used by the judging teams. The BMW with the most points in each class will be awarded first place, the BMW with the second highest point total will be awarded second place, etc..

General Rules:

  • Only BMWs may be entered.  Porsches may be entered through the LSR-PCA.
  • To be judge, your BMW must be driven into its display location.
  • Absolutely no work may be done on your car past the designated "rags down" time.
  • "Rags down" time is 11:00 a.m.
  • Judging will be based upon cleanliness and condition only.
  • A judge may not enter his/her car BMW in the class he/she judges.
  • Decisions of the Judges and/or event coordinators are final.
